Indice
Neolithic village of Travo
First discoverings are from 80’s. In this archaeological area was found a large number of very well-preserved housing and functional facilities. Archaeologists reinforced the remains of the perimetric, rectangular ditches of 6 resumed huts.
They also put new poles in the past holes of original palisades and fences across the village. To the south of the village it’s still visible the ancient dry-stone wall made with pebbles.
Some full-size Neolithic buildings have been reconstructed since 2010 and furnished with items and objects that were found during excavation works.
It’s possible to take guided-tours only. The group of visitors will be leaded at fixed-time across the village and area with reconstructed buildings. Across the Park there also are information boards reporting insights about housing facilities and Italian, local Neolithic.
